Training Tips with Suzie Cooney
Every year I have the pleasure of presenting some downwind SUP training tips, with the fine crew from OluKai at the 8th Annual Ho’olaule’a After the Pro Panel, I conduct a fun and informative 30 minute, hands on training session designed specially for our paddlers who are entering the SUP downwind race on the famous MalikoRun.
It’s super fun and for sure offers some laughs and entertainment and special guests on stage to join the fun.
In this presentation I talk about the following:
- How to perform the Floater for intense balance training
- Paddling with your eyes closed – brain training
- How to cardio train specifically for downwind paddling on the MalikoRun
Please tune in and watch and learn!
A special thanks to Indo Board Balance Trainer and volunteers:
Lisa Schell, Jenn Biestman, Stephen and Cathy Ross and many more that helped make this day so fun!
