Aloha Tommy and thanks for note here. Yes, many new stand up paddlers who have not learned proper wave etiquette or water safety. We really want to help educate folks who could be a hazard to others so everyone has a good day on the water. As a surfer first and foremost, I see this to be a common concern as it should be. The average SUP board is over 10ft and weighs about 28 pounds where as a surfboard would be 8-15lbs.
Learning right of way, manners in the line up and how NOT be a hazard is really important. Mahalo and see you on the water, Suzie Cooney
