Swim, Surf, or Sink – You Choose 

I have discovered the unequivocal, No.1  action that virtually guarantees success in fitness and life goals. In my personal and professional opinion, this so-called Golden Pillar surpasses any other theory I have read, tested, and seen in my practice; this is proven repeatedly. (Witness Jenna’s success as the proof, and the answer is revealed below.)

Swim, Sink or Surf You Choose

Research in neuroscience suggests the brain processes visuals in a complex way to help you understand and consider different perspectives. Analogies can help connect your emotions to something hard to express or act on.

One perspective or analogy for reaching your goals might be that you can stay at the “surface level” (Swim) and only see what is in front of you, which is okay. But here is where you might start to plateau.

You have choices when facing a difficult situation: you can either give up before you start and sink instantly to the bottom, or you can gradually sink as you continue to struggle, self-sabotage, and take in so much water nothing is accomplished. Neither option is ideal.

On the other hand, you can push yourself, train hard, and stretch outside your limits to catch that one massive wave ( Surf) and go for it. You might succeed, or you might fail, but at least you tried and can learn from the experience. It’s like the saying, “Rinse, get worked and repeat!”

This No.1 action applies to EVERYTHING we set our mind to. But before I tell you what that is, meet Jenna, my long-term client of 10 years. She is a brilliant international mega-million entrepreneur and fierce water and snow athlete.

She recently told me that something special clicked as she was looking forward. It was remarkable to see all the benchmark breakthroughs she had in only two months.

I provided her with a summary of all her successes, as I always do for my clients. This time, it was amazing to notice so many breakthroughs and goals, big and small, being accomplished one after the other. The No. 1 Action: Be Consistent

Next, notice if you simply put the word “consistent” in front of every task that is required to reach your fitness goal. It is a guarantee of success. Once you are crystal clear on your “it” (realistic) goals, identify all the key things and actions you must implement (this is where I also help). You, too, will notice remarkable changes.

It’s truly astounding how simple this theory is. As humans, I think we tend to make it more complicated than it needs to be. I’m sure there are many other things or actions we could add.

But here’s the deal: if we keep adding more things, it becomes too daunting. You know what’s the worst thing that can happen?

Nothing.

You sink.

Now imagine yourself strong on the water, catching the wave of your life. You are crystal clear in your thinking (also from my neuro coaching) and have a laser focus on that “it.” Next, imagine your life today if you called me three months ago. Hmmm.
